This is a very nice Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Livermore Valley. Fruity and tangy, with a really pretty nose.

Showing blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, stewed raspberries, vegetables, light bell pepper, spices, chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity, and dry on the palate.

Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime.

A good wine to pair with food. I paired it with cheeses, crackers and dried fruits.

13.8% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Here is my #FridayCabernetfix for this week.

Pretty color of dark ruby, with a cloudy reddish rim.

Fruity nose with blueberries, currants, cherries, light wood, honeysuckle, spices, pencil lead, earth, herbs, black pepper and dark coffee.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with red currants, black plums, oak, tobacco, earth, spices, licorice, light vegetables, dark coffee, cloves, herbs and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a nice Cabernet based Bordeaux blend from California. Showing a nice mouthfeel at this point, with mild complexity.

I had it last year, and this time I gave it a couple of hours in a decanter to open up.

Showing interesting notes of honeysuckle, which surprised me. This five year old is soft and engaging. Tangy and interesting.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with salami, Brie cheese and crackers.

Aged for 29 months in French Oak barrels. A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec.

13.8% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

This is a very enjoyable Cabernet based Bordeaux blend from California. Showing nice complexity and a great tangy finish.

Needs an hour to open up, but was even better after 2 hours, when much of the complexity came in.

I liked the fact that it's not high in alcohol, so you can drink more of it πŸ˜ƒ.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with brie cheese which was great together. Interesting, engaging and very tasty.

I had this vintage in 2017, and it was a little young. At the end of 2019, It’s mature and ready for drinking. Cherries and tobacco on the nose. Light red fruit on the front. Medium tannic structure with some high notes at the back of the palate. Slightly mineral finish.
