Enjoyable early effort from Copain (1999 was the first vintage). Aging well despite the riper style of the early vintages.

Still going strong. A bit of sulfur on the nose that faded with air, backed by dark fruit and all kinds of savory. And that old Copain font!

A real treat. Was this the first vintage? A really dark color in the glass, beautiful fruit. Really feels like old world in terms of elegance and classic Syrah notes. Would happily drink again! I would say it’s in an optimal drinking place.
