Very dry wine from Yamanashi prefecture (not far from mount Fuji), with easily recognizable chardonnay flavors tempered by the presence of koshu, a local grape. Koshu brings lightness and subtlety, the alliance works nicely, and I’m amazed this combination isn’t more frequent. Loved it in spite of its youth.
