Cariad Napa Valley Red Blend

This is not quite ready. Vegetal, with bell peppers. 10 years in, I think the dye is cast.

08' Colgin Cariad. This bottle of wine is for my beautiful bride, of 16 years today!
I'll get right to it. This wine after a 60 minute decanting is in a perfect place. It's one of the best 2008's. I think it will taste just like this for 5 years.
There's a dozen things going on in this. Blue and red fruits stand out for me. Throw in a little licorice, chocolate. Medium tannins & acidity. A smooth finish. If you would like to open up a Colgin that's drinking today. I highly recommend this bottle.

Good, rich mixed color fruit. Very tasty after a 15 minute decant. Well done. Fruit forward.

45 min decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A wondrous dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: Currants, little dark plum, musky soil, roasted beef, green vegi, cinnamon. Taste: smooth, soft, juicy, medium body wine with mellow flavors of black cherry, currants, minerals, dark chocolate, and a graphite cedar medium finish....drink em if you got em, and I have 2 more bottles ready to go.

2008 Not the best Colgin!

Still quite primary with very pure fruit. This should be great but is young right now.

Nearing the perfect drinking window, this wine currently is a lovely balance of fruit and structure. Long delightful finish
