This is the most tannic Beaujolais I've ever tasted, and it's very good. The juiciness is caged but primed for expression. Opening up and telling a different story about every five minutes. (Not quite as good on day 2)

Beautiful pure nose of berry fruit, silky pungent cherry, and a beguiling freshness all on a slab of granite and a meaty earthiness. Terrific energy to the nose. Wonderful juicy palate with poise and energy. Terrific complexity and purity and There is a finesse to the granite. There is real stuffing here and a lively creaminess as well. Incredible Beaujolais Villages. What length and minerality on the finish. Terrific structure. I think this goes 3-6 years. I cannot believe how great this is. What balance. "Clotaire Michal" again.

Not a lot of Beaujolais typicity but structurally broad and deep. Not for me.

Having had the Vignes centenaires cuvée right before made this seem very playful. This is a lovely wine. Lots of serious fun.

This was a lot of fun. Reminded me how much I love the Vignes Centenaires though. I honestly feel that cuvée/vineyard completely eclipses this on so many levels but I’m also a complexity freak. This wine is pure pleasure and in this lifted boisterous character and style that I often see from lauded northern Rhône producers these days. 🤔 trained by Allemand you say? No doubt showing in many ways what that means.

Dare I say crushable? Cranberry and raspberry with a sight fizz, hint of spice. Good mineral backbone.
