Lots of pleasure here! A bargain. Straightforward with just enough complexity to be really interesting. #wine

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim and medium intensity.

Nose of cherries, cranberries, red currants, oak, smoke, vegetables, herbs, bell pepper, peppercorn, spices, green beans, earth and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Tart on the attack and dry on the palate with cranberries, strawberries, wood, licorice, earth, forest floor, green vegetables, graphite, black pepper and spices.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tart cranberries.

This French Malbec is unbalanced with mild complexity. Drinkable by itself, but better with food.

Nothing special here. Earthy and funky. Not my style.

A blend of 80% Malbec and 20% Merlot.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

A bit simple. Funk and tannin. Far better with food. Less abrasive and more balanced.

Deep, dark colors. #Cahor. Smooth palate and had to struggle to find floral aromas through berry aromas. Not as elegant as previous years.

These wines just rip. I mean, they deliver every vintage; and age well. Forget the price, these are good wines.

Smells herbaceous with hint of sandalwood. Tastes fuller than it looks. Hint of ruby orange shade. Medium body with clean finish. Hint of acid. Slightly tannic

Leaner than an Argentinian Malbec. 20% Merlot extends the finish and adds more 3-dimensionality (yeah, I know... whatever that means). Dark fruit, a hint of cedar, leather, and round tannin. Very enjoyable, excellent value.

A nice tart plum on the nose. Dry enough to drink with dinner and finishes clean and light. Not a ton for flavor but not a bad flavor.
