Big whiff of blueberry pie.

Big bodied, weighted viscosity. Prunes, mint, pie filling. Some Woody tannins mingle with just enough acidity to hold it all together.
A perfect post pasta wine.
Young, so airtime needed. 2-4 hours works.

Very young, quite wound up, needed 3 days before being open for business. Great harmony of whole cluster and extraction, rustic and complex. You really cannot go wrong with la famille Chastain!

Better on day 3 than 1, needed time to unwind. Vibrant fruit and some nice minerality, with definite tannic grip. No doubt a true expression of the style, a bit punchy for sipping without food. Nice value.

Very ripe redfruits with some stony, mineral notes underneath, drinks very well, shows a bit too much alcoholic heat (15% ABV) on the finish, which detracts a bit.

Delicious blueberry, plum, violet, and slate. Big smiles for wine and Eagles win! Opened and let breathe in bottle for about 30 minutes prior to drinking.

I really enjoyed this wine. Very dark purple/fuschia on the eye, heavy staining, very viscous. Nose sees strong new oak, stems/greenery, dark ripe blackberries. Palette sees high alcohol, jammy fruit, medium acid and medium+ tannins. Long finish >45sec. Cheap, very enjoyable wine- whatever it lacks in refinement it makes up for with boldness.

Peppery, wet, jammy questionable balance, pepper smell, juicy bitter like cocktail just too peppery

Really fruity. Some grit. Maybe some time could help here to soften it.
