Watery green bell pepper. A vegetal mess. Not a berry in sight.

Beautiful! Graceful, smooth fruit notes, round and balanced with the minerals that make it Stag’s Leap District. 2011 Vinatage

The 2011 vintage of Poetry is made from 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec. The Poetry Vineyard, carved into a steep west-facing hillside, reaches from the highest elevations of the Stags leap District appellation to the valley floor. The magnum shows the Poetry script on the label. On 750s the Poetry script is in the glass and not on the label.

2011. Opened on a Weds for no good reason except I wanted it (and the new allocation email came today) and every sip was better than the last. No decant- straight from the bottle and truly poetic.

Very soft for Poetry, probably because of the vintage. One of few 2011's I'd actually go back to.
