Earthy and gritty and Burgundian. Still plenty of acid. Enjoyed, but 2012 is on its last leg!

The nose is one of nice strawberry and nice red fruits with that typical Burgundian smell which I just love. At first taste the red fruit especially the strawberries pop out but falls off quick. There is a good minerality and nice tannins but seems to be a bit awkward. I may have it a bit to chilled and that may be causing some of the problems. I should let it come up to room temp them reassess. All in all it is a drinkable wine at the the $18 to $20 bones price range.

On the nose I get strawberry jam, sweet red fruit, and boysenberry. Good acidity and minerality to taste. A very nice mouth feel with a musty taste and soil. Strawberries, raspberries with good balance. Good effort from Marlborough.

Pretty outstanding NZ Pinot that is ready to drink. Red fruit, a bit green herbs, a bit gravelly.

By the glass. All juicy fruit, what you would expect from a cherry Life Saver.
