Château Tour Peyronneau
St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend
What a way to end a night that was filled with all New World minus USA wines that totally rocked the house. This was brought out at the end of the night and it needs a good amount of air time. Swirling through the decanter, you get a mix of plum & baking spices but also more bright floral notes. Still quite young, it wasn't super tannic, but the fruit and oak still have a few years to mesh together. Should be excellent in 10+.

Jan 11th, 2017I could use some green peppers to accompany these weeds. Good thing I don't hate weeds.

Jul 9th, 2016Great aromas and flavors, surprising value. The winner of tonight's Merlot tasting.

Dec 3rd, 2014Comes out of the bottle like a freight train - nice fruit, smokey, cedar on the finish and lots of character- soft, merlot and... then, it just fades to meh. Kind of like a bad movie: great start and a dud finish. Won't buy more but I loved the first 30 minutes.
