Not too much terroir, not alcoholic but a touch of raisins. Drink up.

A bit more need for time-but still a smooth powerhouse

Not sure that this has held up well. First bottle we opened was corked. This one wasn’t but still leaves a bit to be desired. Fruit quite gone, acid weak, finish light. Still a bit of tertiary poking through which is not bad. But disappointing overall.

1 hour decant, probably needed more. More Napa than St. Julien. Dark red with brownish tones. Restrained nose of dark cherries. Black licorice on the palate and very unique wine. Short finish. Not my style of wine, but not bad.

Another fab Talbot @ £89-£112 that’s already gorgeous but will still improve 👍

🍇 70% Cab S, 25% Mer, 4% Pet V & 1% Cab F

🍷 Opaque ruby

👃 Oozing with enticing spiced black & red fruits bathed in smokey oak, leather, liquorice, pencil lead, minerals & gravel w/ herbs & wet earth

👄 Med body of silky smooth mouth coating creamy dark berry/current fruits w/ red fruit tones, mocha, liquorice & earthy minerals

🎯 Long gorgeous decadent dark fruit explosion w/ light mocha grounds & raspberry liquorice

Black current nose, fruit forward, tunic/dry finish. Had with Thanksgiving dinner. Great choice!

2003 vintage. Musty and dusty old leather bound books with a hint white sage in the nose. That light Talbot body. Coming together nicely. Still a little upfront plushiness in the gums with the milk chocolate/tobacco notes on a long, supple finish. Drinking great currently.

Gorgeous. Very balanced. Much better than I anticipated. This wine can last for many more years
