Another great 1996 Bordeaux. Probably at its best now. The nose is marvelous- red fruit, leather, oriental spices, soy sauce. The palate is less inspiring but smooth and silky. Great with a south-western French dinner of duck breast and asparagus with morilles!

I really liked this. Golden color belied the acidity still present. Needed some time to come around but truly lovely.

Enjoyed the 96 vintage in Feb 2017. Classic beautiful bordeaux. Dark cherry with undertones of leather with excellent finish.
