2000 Ch. Smith Haut Lafitte. Nose of dry dusty earth with dried cherries. Color is plum red with lightish edges. Dried cherries coat the tongue with essences of french oak and cool gravel. Well rounded body with light tannins. Finishes balanaced with dryness, tart, cherries, and slight eucalyptus. Decanted two hours. 94. (1-5-2020)

2012 vintage. Beautiful cedar dust nose. Light/medium body with a dark chocolate and plum emphasis. Accented by a zippy, zesty finish. Solid but lean.
