Stellar nose. Smoke, leather, truffle, bbq, super mineral, mint, forest floor, cassis, mineral, so clean, loads of cedar and pine, palate is even a bit young. So juicy and complex. Mineral and fresh. Big tannic spine. Complex and long. Can still use some age. Gorgeous now.

02 Chateau Montrose is quite a lovely wine. I often think of Montrose as having feminine qualities - a beautiful, floral, elegant wine. This 2002 has perfume/flowers on the nose. The medium bodied wine finishes with gravel/mineral. Incredibly well balanced. Decanted for 4 hours
