Good wine, very classic, but the drying tannins clip the finish. Better a few years back.

Dry, tight, initial nose of barn and mushrooms, clearing out to nice acidity, old berries

#dfwe2018

Dark rubi slowly starting to have that faded bricky color on the sides, very discrete but tasteful nose of blackcurrant and secondary notes, very polished tannins and fresh, medium body mouth, medium length as well. Its not a perfect wine, the fruit is going out faster than its normally the case with Montrose. Nice bottle to drink up as it wont make one bones nor does it has any potential to improve.

Lots of cigar, leather, forest floor. Fruit is mostly in the distant background. Drink now.

Time to drink up. Fruit is fading. However, still great fun for Thanksgiving turkey. Everyone enjoyed it.

A point! This is a very good Montrose. It should match very good with the Sirlion
