Another great Classic Wine Happy Hour in the books! Always a treat to have a designated day each month where guys can pull out some unique bottles!

Didn't have the stuffing compared to all the other wines, but none the less, still very nice. Mainly secondary notes of earthiness, herbs, olive. I imagine the late 90's are drinking great right now.

This one was drawing lots of praise, but in all honesty my impression of this one was that it should have been popped five years ago. To me, fruit here was lacking. Up front, this one shows incredibly well for an 85. Nice notes, more fruit than I thought t was going to have, but at the same time there just wasn't a lot of complexity. I would say that this one had more of a wildflowers and stale vanilla cookie note. Finished rather soft. Tannin had long since integrated. The thing I remember MOST about this wine was its structure. For a wine of its age, this one probably had the most structure. I can still see this one going five years from now, but I just see the density of the fruit getting less and less.

Delicious but very soft fruity nose. Flavor of rich sweet fruit and very Soft tannins with a gentle haunting finish . Totally at its prime - drink soon

This wine is an example as to why you let fine Bordeaux wines mature. Great fruit for s 30 year old. Lots of acid and the tannins are all but gone

Fully mature and certainly wo the pedigree of the first growths this is a value even today. Classic cedar and tar with notes of red currants Finishes smooth and silky. Great with veal or venison.
