On tertiary notes; smells like a walk in the woods during fall. Not much fruit left on this bottle.

In a great place. The 1988's are singing.

Powerful and laser focused, great acidity and freshness combined with mature complexity flavors of warm, cooked red and black fruits. Strong earthy and savory undertone - slightly damp. Showing well for the vintage!

No brett, great projection and drinking like a 1998. 10 plus years easy.

Was a bit flat and though we had the core of black fruits with some tobacco it never really opened up further.

Classic LB profile. Some tannins initially that softened later. Black fruits, earth, cedar. Great with tenderloin roast.

Poy-Yak! Cigar box, leather, decent dark fruit left, but more tertiary. Tannins are resolved and the color only shows very light bricking. Lovely bottle with aged steaks.
