No notes - nye dinner. A bit oaky for my taste but great vintage. Ok with duck confit.

Tobacco and cherry upfront. Acid is moderate to high. Undertones of raisin with a very smooth finish. One of the best Medocs I have had. Price and quality ratio is very high. Would recommend.

Another solid vintage of this Haut-Medoc Bordeaux. Blend of Merlot (57%), Cabernet Sauvignon (31%) and Petite Verdot (13%). Very dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of violets, fresh herbs and plums. Pallet notes plum and blueberry fruit flavors with hints of black licorice and cocoa. Very fruit forward, savory and fresh tasting with a bit of creamy tannin on the long finish. A pleasant and slightly chalky texture.

One of many Cru Bourgeois from Haut-Medoc. I do believe they are “leading the pack” among Bordeaux appellations.
