Tonight we had family over for dinner and my brother in-law and I opened this very nice 2005 Bordeaux. A Bordeaux Superieur that drinks like a more expensive Bordeaux. The nose started out very hot with lots of alcohol. After letting set for about 30 minutes a nice black cherry started to come forward along with stewed prunes, some licorice, tar, and a smokey oak. On the palate the cherry, licorice, black currants and prune/raisins. A very silky smooth mouth feel with minimal tannins. I believe I picked this up for around $17-18 bones. Very nice and should last another 3-4 years.
