Cool, savoury, quite burly.
Black currant leaf, cassis, cedar wood, a minty whiff, a gravelly undertone. Quite austere on the nose.
Quite firm on the palate, with rich, velvety yet savoury tannins. Juicy tannins, pure fruit.
Quite angular, savoury, def. better with food!

Well made, textbook Cru Bourgeois, subdued, elegant, cassis cedar and tobacco but not overly ripe, with bright acidity and strapping tannins. Will probably evolve and improve over next 5-8 years. Great value.

Outstanding - and peaking.

Fine grained tannins, secondary aromas in balance with primary, and well-integrated oak. Medium + body, high toned, with a lingering finish and acidity. Great with food, with incredible complexity. Dark fruits are present with some pretty herbal/mint notes, vanilla, tobacco, and additional earthiness.
