Vintage 2005 - spicy, cloves and laurel, autumn leaves, cardamom, hints of cooked red fruit, leather, is deveoping a slight bitterness. Hints of truffle.

Sex-Ed stock footage: trains rushing into tunnels; flowers opening; Saturn V rocket launch; snake-charmed cobra from a wicker-basket; jack-in-the-box; General Lee jumping across a wet, wet river; banjo-solo; slow-motion luge; mosh-pits.

2005 just an ok wine in a great vintage for bordeaux. Still has youth but this wine is just good but generic in character.

Vintage 2005 is now à Point. Bloody good. Cedar, tobaco and chocolate in smell after some aeration. This Merlot wine becomes a real friend with a smooth taste. We partnered it with roadsted pork and stirred vegatables (red onion, paksoi, tomato, sweet paprika and zucchini). The wine performed also good with Belgium biocheese Keiems Bloempje.

This red was better two or three years ago! Lost acidity and still rough tannins...

Good fruit but funky nose and too acidic, despite the age. Paired with ribeye and the meat seemed to elevate the acidity - not pleasant. After two hours, still wooden and musty. Though fruit persisted nicely

Very nice. Plum, jam, and a little spice on the nose. Full bodied, ripe taste on the palate. Steak frites wine for sure.

This 2005 Faizeau was perhaps peaking. Might hold a while longer, may not get much better.

Near perfect. Great amount of tannins and sophistication
