2010. A little tight. Dark and brooding. A nice Friday wine. 2 hr decant.

An extremely elegant, medium body claret that is drinking beautifully at the moment. Blueberry and cedar stand out. A high class Margaux. And certainly a wine to buy by the case.

Tasted at Chateau
61 CS 39 M, 18 months in French oak, 55% new.

Deep inky purple, compact and youthful rim.

Incredibly youthful aromas of violet, lavender, blackberry, blackcurrant, with a thyme, sage, and slightly minty undertone.

Structured for a Margaux. Big tannin, med plus acidity, and med ful bodied. The palate shows cassis, floral, potpourri, lots and lots of dark fruits, graphite, and minerals with lift and freshness. Last very long.

Tasted semi blind, guessed 2015 for its youthfulness. Jaw dropped when revealed. Testament to how the 2010 is going to become and the fact that this bottle hasn't left the chateau's cellar in 7 years! Put this away for 20 years if you have any senses. You'd be mad to open sooner! 93++

What better after a powder ⛷ day than a boeuf bourguignon and a 2010 D'Issan. This is a baby of a wine but oh so good right now. Deep dark fruit gives way to currant and coffee and chocolate. This wine is a pleasure to drink and one that keeps your sense on their toes -- asking questions. Which is good in life and wine drinking. I can't wait to open my other bottles as the years pass. As we close 2016, let's raise a collective virtual glass and take a moment to reflect on friends, family, health, good food and great wine. And most things from Bordeaux in 2010 are pretty good too... 🍷👌❄️️
