Rich, sensual, powerful and wonderfully ripe - not for the faint of heart yet gorgeously supple, so no fears! Bursting with currants, coffee, smoky chocolate, a streak of wild meatiness. Embodies the 2009 vintage, has excellent structure to last. Perfect with roasted duck and other meats!

Deep opaque ruby forshadowing the depth and concentration of the vintage. Spiced plum, black cherry, subtle dried violet petals and that rocky scorched earth. Anise and wood running throughout.

A blurry 2009 cantenac Brown. Not over the top for a 09. Very juicy ad clean.

Dark red colour. Up front cassis, blackberry and tobacco. Softened tannins. Slightly bitter finish.

Plum, back currant, alcohol, & tobacco aromas. Flat, dry, yet juicy notes of red currant, black currant, wet leather, tar, plum, raspberry, & grape juice. Medium tannin. Low acidity.

Trader Joe's wine tasting, $69.99. Dry, balanced, dark and wonderful. Beautiful legs in a Dixie cup! 2009.

Deep ruby of typical Cab. Nose has blackcurrant and sweet spice, some toast and coffee. Very high acidity and high tannin but off-balanced. A bit flat on the palate with the much anticipated blackcurrant gone right the way. Not complex and very straight forward Cab. Acceptable character.

EC missed messing around at the MS. It's ripe, but tasty and full of earth.
