Intense but smooth and elegant. This bottle was at the end of its life and should be consumed soon. The cork was soft and fell apart but after straining the cork the wine was unspoiled. Bitter Bordeaux with strong licorice, oak, and leather flavors. The tannins are perfectly smooth in the finish. Classic Bordeaux nose. This wine needs to be consumed with steak, and will not work well with other foods because of its intensity. I had it with strong cheese and that worked, but steak would have matched far better.

Classic style Bordeaux. Expected a modern, voluptuous style of wine, but we got ripe red fruit with some earth and tar, mineral, fresh and clean, almost like a Nebbiolo from Piemonte.

Happy Valentines Day!! Always a favorite. 375ml PnP. Powerful nose of French terroir and tar. Fading on the palate, but nice texture. Medium + finish. Drink sooner rather than later.

375ml. Always one of my favs! Many years left as it felt young, but I loved the lushness and power. Dark purple, almost black color. More Napa Cab like than French Bordeaux. Excellent black cherry and blueberry fruit. Very long finish. Glad I have another!

Sweet on the nose and soft on the finish. Merlot is standing out and making this big. Nice. Good value too.

Great brambly funk, light on primary fruit, round and finishes short. Not great for this price point.
