Delicious with sirloin kebabs

On the nose, plumb, cherry, soil, cigar box, and leather. Flavors of blackberry, plumb, earth, and some black cherry are backed by dusty tannins. Finish quite long with black and red fruits. At the 10 year mark this is really starting to hit its stride

Beautiful ripe; blackberries, dark cherries, blue fruits, light spice, coffee, dark soils, underbrush, dry stones, light herbaceous notes, good acidity, balanced and polish, elegant finish.

What a beautiful and fantastic Margaux for the price. Cantenac-Brown of the town of Cantenac, in Margaux - you can see the absolutely enormous castle shown on the label from a mile out. They're right across the fields from Brane-Cantenac, which is completely overshadowed by their grandiose home.
Like their castle, their wine is grandiose in its flavor and character. Bright and fresh on the nose - red plum, red apple skin, cloves, leather, wild flowers, sandalwood, raw mushroom, and truffle on the nose. The pallet is powerful, but elegant - black currant, pepper, lavender, black cherry, vanillin, and a fresh fruit on the finish. These 2012's are great value wines that will drink well now and through at least 2030. What a great 3rd growth.

1979, still has an amazing amount of fruit. great acid, tobacco leaf, brambly blue fruit. crushed rock for days.

Glorious and sumptuous to celebrate my 60th. Birthday. Not glass of wine.

Great Bordeaux wine. Rich notes of fruity dark cherry and blackberries. Goes well with Brie and bread.

Need effort to draw out the bouquet. Finesse. Velvet body. Nothing not to like here. Drink up.

Decanted for 4 hours, but clearly@not long enough. Muted dark fruit with soil joined by a strong tannic background that just never came together.

Ample aroma with black currant, cherry, oak. Gentle. A bit acidic. Blueberry, blackberry. Still a bit tannic. Slight chocolate nuance 2014 @2280, xiaduo -, 221223-230120
