Açaí, plum, vanilla and a hint of lavender on the nose. Açaí controls the palate, but the heavy tannins are a little too aggressive at this stage. Revisit in another 10 years to see progression.

Beautiful. Saddle leather and flint on the nose with an inky dark cherry colored poor. Explosive concentration with a classic old-word oak flavor with dried fruit sweetness banging its way through to your palette. This is still very young. Can't image what be in 15 years on. Well worth the $60.

The finish on this wine is perhaps the most interesting of any I have ever had. The nose is moderate at best with forest floor, black currant, mushroom and a bit more brett than I might otherwise like. Incredibly silky on the palate with similar profile as the nose but much more pronounced. Then there is the finish. The tannins start to grab you and dry your palate only to release it and dissolve away into a juicy, long, delicious mouthwatering finish with blackberry and mushroom.

Round with a nice balance - evolving nicely - a wine to drink now - an off vintage that shows well

Graphite, pencil shavings, boysenberry, deep dark plum, either a dried cherry or candied cherry scent, violets, slightly dried, and the tiniest hint of milk chocolate on the end of the nose leads me to believe this will be superb. The palate is tight, longing to express itself more fully but just can't at the moment. A few more years would make this wine unstoppable. As it it now it's a gorgeous, expressive, delicate and delicious representation of Margaux. Best wine of 2015 so far.
