An unusual partnership between oak/vanilla (sweet) and bitterness >in a good way. Interesting wine! 85% Merlot 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 19 months in American and French oak. There is an oak/ vanilla sweetness with great fruity berries on the front & midpalate which transitions to a cocoa powder, black licorice, anise bitterness to a long finish. Very smooth, Medium+ bodied. Fun to decipher! My Costco..$10! We went through gas line 1st...loving this!
