Introducing the Chapel Hill 2017 ‘The Parson’ Cab Sauv from McLaren Vale (South Australia). This pocket rocket won the Perennial Trophy at the 2018 Sydney Royal Wine Show for the Best Cabernet Sauvignon and yes you can buy it at Dan Murphy’s and BWS for only $20 😱
🍴Recommended food match: A juicy medium rare steak, fresh horse radish and steamed greens 🤤
In the glass it’s a garnet ruby red colour with notes of tar, black fruits of the forest 🌳 and liquorice on the nose. In the mouth it is juicy with a lovely cassis spiked flavour with a nice oomph of tannin dryness. Decant and enjoy over a couple of hours with some Cuvée Chocolate (the chocolate specifically made to match wine) is my recommendation 😉
