On the palate, it’s bone dry with flavors of dark, tart cherries, bergamot, with leather, dried herbs and spices. Medium+ tannin (nearing high) and medium+ acid. Long, long finish. Tremendous texture and perfect balance. This is a stunning Chianti Classico. No Riserva was made in 2017 due to yields so the CC got all of the best juice. It shows. Very enjoyable. Loads of cherry, some earth. There was a bit of tartness. Little tannic but seamless with food.
