Aromas of vanilla, cherries, dried spices and toasty oak. Medium bodied with lively acidity and bitter tannin. There's flavors of tart cherry, bell pepper and oak. It finishes very dry, oaky and carrying lots of heat.

Very drinkable, if. It spectacular. Good fruit - cherry, raspberry, orange - some herbs and...not much else. Still very enjoyable. Would probably improve with food.

Opened up after two hour decant, suffered versus 2004 Il Poggione Brunello we drank as well, but very drinkable. Red berry and tobacco, a little light weight but worthwhile.

Good enough...took a while to open up. It was a bit sharp at the open. Good drinker. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to buy this bottle, but happy to drink again if on a menu, etc
