The Carlisle '06 Petite Sirah showed a remarkable dense and intense bouquet of crushed blackberry, cherry sauce, olive, pepper, minerals, and spice. On the palate, I found velvety textures with dark spicy fruit, sweet herbs and a bump of tannin / acid on the mid-palate that excited the senses. It finished on dark fruits and a hint of bitter herbs, yet a little shorter than I'd hoped.

Petite Sirah isn't my usual choice, this 2006 is in a great spot though. Black pepper laced blackberry w/ structure to spare. Great for BBQ night.

2006 Vintage. 15% Alcohol. This is at it’s peak and a great Petite Sirah! Tannins resolved and lots of blueberry and blackberry fruit with smooth mouthfeel for a PS. Great job Mike Officer!

I’ve been yearning for something good after a week or so of opening one disappointing bottle after another. This wine is big and bold with lots of of blueberry character. Perfectly balanced and seamless for something so big. This wine is still in the middle innings and can go for many more years
