2022/1/8 with shrimp and chicken gumbo, gruyere biscuits and greens. Bright, lean and leafy - the acidity was a good math with the rich gumbo.

Feb 6th, 2022Thought I opened a rose by error… clear, tannish edge to see-to-the-bottom light brick. Sour cherry blast on the nose…Medium to light weight on the palate, long, chewy, clunky finish that scratches that itch. Finding that light, high altitude Nebbiolo is my jam late in life… who knew? My only problem is how hard this shit is to find. My advice: if you see it, scoop it up and ask for what’s in back!.

Nov 9th, 2021First experience with this Nebbiolo...what an interesting wine. Extremely light red in the glass... bright cherry and smoke... light bodied, very acid-forward and food friendly. Makes my mouth salivate. It’s spaghetti Saturday, and the wine is wonderful, but the acid and tannin makes me really want Osso Buco or Angolotti with Brodo or Steak Florentine. A real bargain @$25 and reminds me of a much older and more developed example of the grape. I will be searching for more!
