There’s a raisined note on first approach - somewhat Port-like - with hints of black fruit, leather and tar and perhaps menthol. It’s embracingly soft on the palate, primarily blackberry, with tannins that gradually build grip. Seems overdeveloped for its age - perhaps hasn’t travelled well. But still a fine pairing with Greek lamb chops.
