A clear, light pink color in the glass. Crisp citrusy aromas of lychee and melons dominate the nose upfront, with a bit of honey and floral accents bringing up the rear. A Rosé from LA? Utter madness. But it works and it works well. A good bit more substantial than a lot of other similar domestic Rosés, this has some heft and character that I wasn’t expecting. Lively acidity and just dry enough, this actually gets better over time. Honeydew and apricots on the palate combine with white pepper and stone minerality. A very good, quality Los Angeles Rosé. An unexpected hit.
