Best bottle I’ve had yet of this. I think that wee bit of Cabernet provides some cassis and dark cherry fruit that balances the ashy, mineral-savory elements of Rocks District Syrah. On the palate it’s fairly subtle and has a very silky texture, unlike the more tacky feel of a lot of Rocks Syrah (which I like, to be sure).

A relatively delicate take on Walla Walla Syrah. Nose has herb-tinged sweet, tangy red fruit, clean river stones, and a sweet cured meat note. So soft-textured in the mouth. Initially very cracked-stone minerally but then, on the extended finish, the fruit comes through. Very distinctive.

Meaty, thick with some white pepper/spice thang goin on. Soft. Consensus on this was a thumbs up! Thanks Tom.
