Brice
Bouzy Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay
Lovely showing. Super clean nose. Some smoke, yeast and citrus. Very mineral. Palate is elegant and complex with wonderful purity and freshness. Lovely mousse and cut. This always needs a few hours and I know will fill out and improve. Terrific sap on the finish.

Apr 19th, 2019Decanted, still letting the wine warm from cellar temperature.
Nose of lemon juice, toasted brioche and cold limestone.
Palate has yeasty citrus, creamy minerality and fun salinity on the finish.
A nice BdB with no dosage, evolving more with each sip.

Great showing. Very yeasty and mineral nose contrasted also by stark minerals and some hints of lemon. Beautiful perfume. Palate is rich and structured with lovely sap and purity and finished very mineral but also creamy. Terrific wine and finish.

Jul 22nd, 2018Always so killer. An elegant beast. Needs 20 minutes open to become civilized. Then nice nose of lemon, yeast notes, some rainer cherries and loads of mineral rocky notes. Palate has terrific tension and ample minerals and juicy tense fruit. Very mineral, juicy, elegant and explosive. A terrific Blanc de Blancs. Very fine mousse and beautiful and well defined citrus fruit.

Aug 5th, 2017It's been a long week of work for both my wife and me, only thing needed to help us ease our way into the weekend, is Champagne.
Prior notes still apply, wonderful bottle! Even better than earlier bottles, Gabriel Glas or a little more age, the world will never know.
Decanted ~2 hours, just perfect tonight.

Weekend yardwork done for today, time for hanging out by the warmth of a fire in the chimenea, and a classy sparkler. 👍

Prior notes apply, but doing a little better than last time, 91.5 points tonight.

I've found the Brice NV bottles all need a decant, yes decant Champagne, seriously. These bubbles are over the top, and only an extensive airing will bring you full enjoyment. The vintage bottles are good to go from the bottle, more restrained effervescence there. This was decanted for about 45m, but I did have the decanter in the refrigerator, I still have respect for service temperature.
