What one would expect of a single vineyard 15% abv in 2004. Big, concentrated, dark purple and black fruit covered in a warm blanket of oak. There’s Syrah in there somewhere, but most has been ripened beyond recognition. Putting that aside, and accepting this for what it is, there’s plenty to enjoy and no discernable edges, especially on a cold, rainy night.
