This was one of those fascinating whites that improved over 24 hrs. Started out golden in color, with slightly tired citrus aromas, perhaps bruised apple but seemingly old and past its prime. Set it aside in the frig, and a day later, lighter color, lemon verbena, more energy and structure. Will this go longer? No, drink up but oxygen helped oxidize some of the funk in this wine; and it is quite delicious for an aged white Burg.

Crisp Lemon peel, minerality, terrific color, enough fruit as it opened to make is terrific. 7 years old and def not over the hill.

Oct 1st, 2015In great shape: pale straw, saline, citrus fruits, very fresh and clean; ex balance with staying power. This bottle exhibits qualities one looks for in white Burgs; could go another 5 yrs. however this bottle is now consumed and the next may not prove to be as good.
