This is much better on night 2. It is a style that is mid-way between purposefully underripe Aussie Semillon and riper, waxy, honeyed interpretations. Nose has tart kumquat in tandem with a Semillon waxy, lanolin thing, but toned down. In the mouth, it juxtaposes the dark, low toned character of Semillon with good acids and freshness. Very nice.
