Estate Valle Calchaquí Malbec

Partially sourced from apparently the highest elevation vineyard in the world... so there's that... Exotic floral and bramble aromas combine with a loamy-limestone funky minerality along with some pepper and asphalt, but finishes clean.

Such a crazy bold wine. Earthy and rich! Love it!

Fantastic & pretty unique expression of Malbec from 3 high altitude vineyards. These give the wine an amazing balance of fruit, structure, depth & freshness. Also huge concentration which makes a contemplative glass last a long time.

The best Malbec I've had. A wonderful Argentinian wine.

Did not like this one at all.
Just seemed very heavy on an alcohol type flavor.
I did not get much of any other flavor that I could identify.

Smooth and creamy with a bit of spice

Paired with red pasta sauce (pork, zucchini, mushroom, onion, oregano, basil) smoked mozzarella and cheddar pizza. Not painfully sharp, but it cut through the rich pizza very nicely. Full bodied, not too sweet, fruity.

Oaky, earth tones. Great with meat.

A nice Malbec. Not blow you away, but definitely I would buy it again for a nice change of pace.
