I generally like Bloomer Creek, but this was just okay to me. A little more funk than I was looking for in a Gruner. Some of the funk blew off after a while, and the wine actually got better after being open for about a half hour. [I’m going to amend my original assessment. This was better on day 2 after pouring in a decanter for around 30 minutes. And it goes well with earthy roasted vegetables. Just don’t expect it to be a typical Gruner and take the wine on its own terms.]
