Dark purple with slightest tinge of brown, this is an approachable, but no less enjoyable, Napa Cab. A little bit of bottle ageing has helped to soften what was probably already a fairly smooth Cab. Fig, plum and black currant are on display on the nose, also a touch of wet leaves and forest floor. Medium bodied on the palette, there's an additional touch of spiciness that gives way to sweet oak. A very pleasant $20 bottle.
