Drinks more as if it were Cab-dominated with some cassis and tobacco notes (but of course it is mostly Merlot). Tannins are strong but resolved for a suave mouthfeel. Plenty of pepper and candied spice to add to an elegant balance. Held up perfectly to elk loin.

Jul 14th, 2019Merlot shines through as a right bank. Though appears red fruit more plum is noted Also picking up lead pencil and coffee sub base. Nice tannins but not overbearing and exhibits a long finish.
