Prior notes apply...some freshness is missing, acidity seems a bit lower than my last bottle. Not sure why...

Smooth as silk. Rounded in the mouth and delicious. Medium body and fine finish.

Iā€™m impressed with the round and full-on mouthfeel. Plenty of fruit - extraction just right. Harmonious dark fruit flavors and acidity to match. Definitely merlot in front -ļæ¼ silky and beautifully perfumed. Lovely!

This afternoon I stopped at a fee wine stores looking for a nice wine to try tonight and I came upon the 2014 Betz Family Winery Clos de Betz Bordeaux Blend. I have been wanting to try the Betz wines for some time now and I finally pulled the trigger on this one. A blend of 71% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot.

This wine is beautifully complex on the nose with black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, vanilla, caramel, mocha and graphite.

The dark fruit continues through on the palate with black cherry, blackberry, plum, blueberry, black currant, vanilla, caramel, mocha and graphite.

This wine is full bodied with a smooth lush velvety mouthfeel. There is medium to + acidity and medium + rounded tannins that lead right to a long sweet dark fruit finish. A beautiful wine with many years of life to go. I am glad to have tried this and I will be off to purchase a few more bottles Have a wonderful rest of your week and please stay safe. Clos de Betz Columbia Valley Red 2012 is a sumptuous Bordeaux-style blend of 67% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot. As with all Betz wines, it's precise and steeped in power. Arresting aromas of plums, kirsch, Madagascar vanilla and graphite lie under a beguiling floral top note. It's concentrated, and inky, a bit of a surprise considering the percentage of Merlot in the blend. Plush, ripe tannins merge seamlessly into depth-less layers of glossy black fruit. 14.5% ABV | Sample

2007. This has got it all rolling. A master blend, nose pleaser of red/dark fruit, dark tea/leather, spice and I'm guessing some violets. Mouth coating red/dark fruit and spice leaves me wishing I didn't share this bottle although what is wine for if not to share? Glad to have more.

Well constructed. Automatically reminiscent of garagiste St. Emilion. I always love the silky initial mouthfeel, and well integrated tannins on the finish.
