Softer side of Ripasso with red fruits and fennel. Medium bodied and lacking in complexity though easy to drink with Guanciale and aged Asiago. None of the raisinated character one would expect.

Простой аромат, мокрая кожа и чернослив, оттенок малины, мускатный орех. Нетельное, кислотное, танинов почти нет, несмотря на указанные 9 месяцев в бочке. Присутствует минеральный вкус, пепельный такой, дополненный сухофруктами. Малиновое послевкусие. Несамостоятельное вино, как мне кажется, для дополнения мясных блюд, но вкусу близко к пино нуару. Пронзительно простое и интенсивное.

Valpolicella is either a hit or miss, this 1 just nicked the bat, not a home run by any means. It lost points with me when I didn't indicate any signs of that requisite Amarone -esque notes of savory Corvina, corvinone,rodinella, raisins that you should get. Superiore it is not.

I agree with what others have said. It is lighter in color but huge with fruit flavor. It’s like an amarone but you don’t have to wait to drink it.
