Dark and stormy color. Smells like ripe fruits and rose hip tea. Flavors are a bit ripe. Lots of baked, sweet berry cobbler type stuff. The finish drifts to that CA regular red of the valley. Oak sauce and very berry syrup. Might move toward a more complex and deeper wine with age. Right now it’s a hint disappointing.

Fairly heady and strong nose. Licorice and berries. Held up amazingly well 14 years on. Flavors are also berry-liciuos and licorice-y. Tastes like Syrah for sure. Aged magnificently. Nice wine. Grateful to try it.
