Very oaky by California standards, this wine is actually much more balanced than the first sip might indicate. It has a nearly-ideal mouthfeel, nice for a cocktail wine but acidic enough for a versatile food wine. The flavor profile is blueberry, Bing cherry, and oak oak oak 😸🍷

This wine has a big body with a hint of jam, and a dense dark ruby color. It was consumed at around 65 degrees and after several hours of decanting. A 70% Syrah / 30% Grenache blend, this brings out the best qualities of these Rhone varietals, although I am uncertain of the region from which these grapes were sourced. The moderate oak brings out the fruit, all blueberries and blackberries, enhanced further by the low 13% alcohol. A young wine, one can imagine how it will improve with cellaring!

Spicy, oaky, peppery, some blackberries-bold and easy to enjoy with some Spanish cheeses and with a hearty meal. Love this wine!!

Oak sent in this medium body wine. Smokey too. With a tang on the tongue. Not bad.

Can I swear in this app?? This wine is fucking great. Simply put, it’s one of the best red blends I’ve had lately. Spicy, peppery, a little jammy, a little soft rain leaves, mixed together to make magic in your mouth. Yum.

Solid and basic Syrah/Grenache combo, the latter comes through nicely. Had with dumplings and will have a again

High acidity make this sharp on the tongue with a fairly high oak. May be drinking past it’s prime. Strong notes of sour cherries, slight cassis, and a bit of blueberry undertone.
