Solid red with distinctively strong (overpowering?) cherry/tart taste.

Huge, heavy bottle. Very un-inspiring label. 90 points though! From a Luca Maroni. Color is cool. Ruddy red and a bit purple on the edge. Aroma or cranberry sauce and tart juices. Flavors are smooth Zin. Hint of jam, but more like a blend of kirsch and cherry brandy. Balance is nice. Reminds me of the higher end Zin from Napa and Sonoma county. I need a hit more complexity to love a Primitivo and/or Zin, but this is a nice Puglia wine for impressing the snobs and bosses of the world.
