An Italian grape grown in VA! Bright Ruby color with aromas of red berry fruits, earthy mushrooms and floral notes. On the palate flavors of sour cherry and strawberry with pepper, mushrooms and perfumed woody spice notes. Fine grippy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cedar spice and earthy mushroom character.

Flirting with Old World finish and deep dried fruit flavors of Italian namesake. Virginia wines gaining strength.

Brought the bottle. It has a nice bright taste. Clearly a Nebbiolo. One of the best non-traditional state wines I’ve had.

Okay, I love this. 70% old world and 30% new world. Not exactly Piedmont but absolutely maintains a shadow of Nebbiolo.

Virginian Nebbiolo - Wow. Can only imagine what a few more years would do for this wine. Better than most Barolo at this price..

Blackberry, raspberry, eucalyptus, oak, black cherry, mossy earth and sage. Good acidity and moderate tannins.

Nebbiolo probably is still better off stay in Piemonte

Violets, mint and black fruit that give way to pepper and spice on the finish. Nebbiolo by way of Virginia. Who knew?!?!
