Tart, a bit too brawny and redundant for me. Not bad overall and paired with amatriciana pasta; showed ample dark fruit and smoke.

May 5th, 2020Tart, simple. Dark fruit. Wildly misleading label. Read the small print. Vineyards grow on rootstocks today. Very tart.

Apr 26th, 2018The label is confusing. It seems to suggest the vines are grafted. The phrasing of the sentence makes me wonder if this is badly translated from Italian. The info sheet on the webpage suggests yhat there are original pre-phylloxera vines and vines that are propagated by cuttings, but states there is NO grafting onto American rootstocks. Does anyone know what the truth is?
